We saw this cheetah shortly after arriving at the Kogatende airstrip in the northern Serengeti. She approached slowly from a starting distance of about 100 meters and passed just behind—within a meter—of our open jeep. We were lucky, as this was the only cheetah sighting during our safari, and what a sighting it was.
